Pesticide Residues and Tolerances

Residues of pesticides are permitted on harvested crops only under two conditions: an exemption is granted to the requirement for a tolerance, or the residue level does not exceed tolerances established by the Environmental Protection Agency.

To avoid illegal residues, it is imperative that you follow directions carefully with respect to rates of application, number of applications, and intervals between application and harvest.

You must avoid drift, especially where other crops are adjacent to the crop being treated.

Pesticide residues that are permitted on one crop may be illegal when present on another.

For lists of pesticide tolerances, see the Global MRL (Maximum Residue Limit) database at https://www.globalmrl.com/
